We are looking for a Gen AI Architect to join our growing GenAI & Data practice at Sedona Asia. This is a senior role at the intersection of technical leadership and client delivery, designed for someone who has moved beyond building individual AI features and is now thinking in systems, platforms, and long-term architecture.

You will be the technical authority on how AI gets designed and deployed for our clients. That means owning the architecture of multi-agent and GenAI systems from the ground up, working closely with client technology and business leaders, and ensuring that what gets built is production-grade, scalable, and genuinely useful. You will work alongside our AI Transformation Consultants and GenAI Engineers, setting direction while staying close enough to the code to be credible. Our clients are banks, asset managers and luxury retailers operating across Asia. The problems are real, the stakes are high, and the expectations are senior.

What you’ll do

  1. 01Lead the design and architecture of GenAI and agentic AI solutions for clients across financial services and retail, covering everything from initial scoping to production deployment.
  2. 02Define the overall technical strategy for AI engagements: LLM selection, orchestration design, RAG architecture, agent topology, data pipelines and integration patterns.
  3. 03Own the architecture of multi-agent systems built on LangGraph and Google ADK, with a strong grasp of state management, agent coordination, memory and failure handling.
  4. 04Work directly with client CTO, CIO and technology leadership to align AI architecture with business objectives and existing infrastructure.
  5. 05Set engineering standards and best practices for the team, covering prompt engineering, evaluation, observability and safe deployment.
  6. 06Review and validate the work of GenAI Engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship on architecture decisions.
  7. 07Drive the selection and integration of AI components including vector databases, embedding models, LLM APIs and cloud infrastructure (primarily GCP).
  8. 08Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions with client teams, translating complex AI concepts into clear, actionable decisions.
  9. 09Stay close to the frontier of GenAI and agentic research and bring the most relevant developments into client engagements.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 7 years in software engineering or data/AI roles, with at least 3 years specifically focused on GenAI or LLM-based system design.
  • Proven experience architecting and shipping production-grade AI systems, not just prototypes.
  • Deep practical knowledge of agentic frameworks, particularly LangGraph — state graphs, conditional routing, multi-agent coordination, not surface-level usage.
  • Strong command of RAG pipeline design, embedding strategies, vector database selection (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector or similar) and retrieval evaluation.
  • Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions and Pub/Sub.
  • Proficiency in Python. Comfortable reading and reviewing production code.
  • Track record of engaging senior client or executive stakeholders on technical strategy.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
Nice to have
  • Experience with Google's A2A protocol or Agent Development Kit (ADK).
  • Familiarity with LangSmith, Arize or similar LLM observability platforms.
  • Background in financial services or asset management.
  • Experience with knowledge graphs (Neo4j) or advanced data architectures.
  • GCP Professional certification.
  • Additional Asian or European languages.
